VANTAGE MITIGATION STRATEGIES INC.
PRIVACY NOTICE (PIPEDA & CASL COMPLIANT)
Accountability & Scope Vantage Mitigation Strategies Inc. ("Vantage") is responsible for all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected through our primary domain (vantagemitigation.ca), our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and our Learning Management System (LMS). This policy complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Purpose of Collection We collect PII strictly for the execution of professional mitigation services.
LMS Data: We collect names, corporate email addresses, IP addresses, and course progress metrics to facilitate training deployment, verify module completion, and issue non-credentialed Certificates of Completion.
CRM Data: We collect corporate contact information to manage B2B invoicing, deliver SOWs, and maintain service relationships.
Data Residency & Infrastructure Vantage prioritizes Canadian Data Residency (CDR). Our primary Learning Management System infrastructure (e.g., Firmwater) processes and stores learner data within Canadian borders whenever technically feasible. We do not sell, rent, or lease PII to third parties. Data is only shared with essential sub-processors required to operate our LMS, CRM, and payment gateways.
Consent & CASL Compliance
Transactional Communication: By enrolling in a Vantage LMS course, users implicitly consent to receiving transactional emails necessary for service delivery (e.g., password resets, completion certificates).
Commercial Electronic Messages (CEMs): In compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), Vantage will only send marketing communications to individuals who have provided explicit, opt-in consent. All commercial emails include a clear identification of Vantage Mitigation Strategies Inc. and an automated "unsubscribe" mechanism.
Data Retention & Access Vantage retains LMS training records to support our clients' regulatory compliance and audit requirements (e.g., Ministry of Labour, AODA, OHSA). Individuals have the right to request access to, or the deletion of, their personal data held by Vantage, subject to the legal retention requirements of their employer who purchased the training license.
